Dinosaurs at the Nursery

The Nursery children were amazed to find that a dinosaur had laid some eggs overnight on Tuesday! Two giant footprints led the children to a nest which had 5 eggs in it. Great fun was had exploring the nest and wondering what type of dinosaur had laid the eggs.

On Thursday the children made their own fossils using salt dough to make imprints and ammonites. The morning culminated in a visit from Katrina from the Tunbridge Wells museum. The children were able to hold part of an Iguanodon shin bone. Katrina told us that Iguanodons walked around Tunbridge Wells millions of years ago! We also saw a real ammonite, fossilised ferns and dinosaur shark teeth.
