Confirmation Celebration

My Special Day   

The 22nd of November will always be an important day for me, as it was the day I was accepted into the Catholic Church.  Even though it was a big day, I wasn"t nervous when I went to Church, as I had been learning about the faith for the last year and a half.  I was very well prepared. 

I shared this day with many friends and was particularly delighted that Clara Seon – my sponsor – was able to attend.  The water that was poured on to my head was cold and it ran down my neck!  I was also given a candle as a symbol of the beginning of my journey with Christ, the light of the world. 

Church was followed by a reception at school which was attended by my guests, all the boarders and some teachers.  I was really surprised that the boarding staff had laid the tables so beautifully for me, with flowers and chocolates.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who shared this special day with me.  I will never forget my special day and I am truly grateful to Fr. Liam and Mrs Rejbakoz for all their time, patience and contributions toward my journey into the Catholic faith.
