Funeral of Former Headmaster

It is with much sadness that we announce the death of former Headmaster, Dr Jim Fallon, who passed away peacefully at his home in Scotland on Sunday 27^th November.

The funeral of Dr Fallon was held in the school Chapel on 8 December 2011; it was attended by many former pupils and staff. Dr Jim Fallon was the Headmaster of this school from 1979 to 1994. Under his leadership the school progressed from a time of uncertainty that followed the move to lay management in the early 1970s to a prolonged period of success and stability. His own academic vocation acted as an inspiration for both pupils and staff, positively encouraging and nurturing a love of learning and thirst for knowledge in children of all ages. Together with his wife, Isobel, he cultivated the caring, family atmosphere in which this school still takes pride. He leaves six daughters.
