Nearly New Uniform Shop

The nearly New Uniform Shop is now located at Beechwood, under the Auditorium, accessed from the rear of the main building.

The shop opens twice a term, or by appointment. Times will be published in the weekly newsletter.

Uniform Shop
You can sell items from the current uniform list, provided that they are clean and in good condition. Please ensure that items are clearly labelled and that you include details of your name, address and telephone number; deliver your clothes to the shop during opening hours.

Some of your questions may be answered below:

When will the nearly new uniform shop be open?
The shop will be open twice a term: the first Tuesday of term, and the first Tuesday after Half Term. Times will be published in the weekly newsletter.

When should I drop off uniform I wish to sell?
You can sell items from the current uniform list, provided that they are clean and in good condition. You may leave items for sale at the Front Office but please email bshpa@hotmail.co.uk so that they can be collected.

Please ensure that all uniform for sale is in a suitable bag and confirmation as to whether the items are being donated to the PA or not.

What items can I sell?
You can sell any current Beechwood uniform item including sports kit, art overalls and waterproofs. Non-standard or out of date items will not be accepted.

All uniform should be freshly laundered and in good condition.

Can I check whether items are available and reserve them?
If you require a specific item you should e-mail bshpa@hotmail.co.uk  giving details of the item and size, you will receive a reply before the next shop opening, if the item is in stock it will be held in your name for 1 week.

Do I have to pay for this service?
As before, the shop will take 30% of the sale price for each item and this money is fed back into the school via the PA.

How and when do I receive my money?
At the end of each half term you will receive a cheque for all uniform sold. No cash or cheques will be sent via the school.

Why do I need to provide contact details?
If you provide us with an e-mail address we will be able to contact you promptly in the event of any problems. Your address allows us to post cheques to you at the end of term.

This information will not be used for anything else without first seeking permission.

Can I donate clothes to the shop?
Some parents simply wish to ensure that outgrown uniform is not thrown away but gets to somebody who needs it.

The shop is delighted to receive donations and should you wish to do this, enclose a note to that effect when you hand your clothes in. All proceeds will then be given to the PA and you will not receive a cheque.

What happens to unsold/unsuitable clothes?
The shop reserves the right to dispose of unsold, or out-of-date uniform, or uniform that it considers not to be in good enough condition to sell, without reference to the original donor. In the case of duffles and blazers, the donor would be contacted before disposal.
