Clipper Round the World Yacht Race

This term's Prue Wilson Society talk took us through the inspirational adventure of Emma Beaumont who, during the course of a year, sailed the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. She was joined by Matt Pike, a skipper, who also took part in the race. Their stories gave us an insight into the courage and determination that is needed to take part in a race like this and the great sense of achievement you get from doing it. They shared with us some funny, frightening and almost shocking tales from their journey. I admire completely  Emma's bravery and commitment, and if I've learnt one thing from her, it is to never take toilet paper for granted!
