Rehearsal Time for Have

"Thursday saw everyone in the cast working very hard at the all day rehearsal for this year's Senior School drama production the black comedy "Have" by Julius Hay. Mrs Truman was pleased with their efforts 'they know their moves and now need to learn their lines!'

"Have" is about historical events that took place in Hungary in the last century, in which dozens of peasant women were tried for the time-honoured practice of poisoning their husbands in order to inherit a few acres of land. "Have" is often used as a piece for actors in drama schools and was originally produced in England by Joan Littlewood, under the title 'The Midwife', with herself in the leading role.

The performances are from Wednesday 25 to Saturday 28 November at 7.30pm. .
