Year 9 Retreat

On Monday, Year 9 went "on retreat" to The Friars, better known as Aylesford Priory. When we arrived, we dropped off our bags and went on a short tour of the site. There were five activities throughout the day, many made us think about ourselves and others, as well as what Jesus thinks about us. This helped us express our feelings without being shy or getting upset. We were given an envelope to put our personal reflections in after each activity.

In the afternoon we prepared for and celebrated Mass with Father Liam. He brought his guitar and we chose some lovely hymns to sing. At the offertory our envelopes were taken up to the altar to be blessed. It was a really interesting and helpful day where we learnt about ourselves and others.
