Sunday 13 November
Last Sunday 5 riders from Beechwood took part in their first NSEA competition at Golden Cross, along with riders from 33 schools from all over the South East. It was a long day with classes starting at 9am and not finishing until 8pm. Whilst everyone rode very well we had to wait for the very last round of the day to gain our first ever placing when Ellie Duggan finished 5th in the open class. Hopefully with some more team training in the next couple of months we will be back out there in January when the new season starts.
Bishops Bell hosted the day and classes started at 9am and did not finish until 8pm, it was a long day. 5 riders from Beechwood took part , Izzy Rogers , Caitlin Henderson, Lana Gillah, Ellie Duggan and Liberty Marden. 33 schools from all over the south east where there. This was the first NSEA competition for our riders from the senior school and whilst all rode very well we had to wait for the very last round of the day to gain our first ever placing when Ellie Duggan finished 5th in the open class. Hopefully with some more team training in the next couple of months we will be back out there in January when the new season starts. Thank you to all the parents who gave up their Sunday to transport the girls and their horses to Golden Cross.
Sunday 6th November
Last Sunday was the first training session at Lockskinners Farm, Chiddingstone. The riders were very lucky to have Angie Whittington instructing, who has had vast experience as a senior instructor with the Pony Club for many years; her children have both gone through to ride internationally.
All the riders are excited to be going off to Golden Cross equestrian centre on Sunday 13 November to compete in the NSEA show jumping competition. There are 4 classes running and Beechwood will be represented in all. So good luck to everyone.
