Baking bread!

Years 1 & 2 visited Waitrose in Paddock Wood. They were amazed that the baker has to start baking at ten to four in the morning!
This week the children have been learning about the Great Fire of London where the fire started in a wood fired baker’s oven. Today, the bread is baked in electric ovens with smoke alarms and a sprinkler system in the ceiling – phew !
