PA to the Head
We are looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic PA to the Head to join our school in Tunbridge Wells! This is a great opportunity for applicants who are looking for a rewarding career within education.
About the Position
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Establish and maintain good relationships with all students, parents/carers, colleagues, suppliers, contractors and other professionals.
- Manage the Headteacher’s diary and time including booking appointments, acting as the ‘gatekeeper’, receiving visitors, providing preparatory support for meetings and events when necessary.
- Open, sort and distribute Headteacher’s mail including electronic mail, advising on any urgent matters.
- Working as part of the Administration Team and provide Reception cover and its administration including some aspects of HR Administration.
- Management of pupil files, SCR, email correspondence and any administrative filing, including confidential personnel files;
- Maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and respond positively with tact, sensitivity and awareness to pupils and parents in relation to duties undertaken.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
- Worked within a busy reception and office/school environment ideally as School Secretary or Heads PA.
- Excellent IT skills – including intermediate or advanced level in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint
- The ability to work unsupervised and to prioritise work during peaks of commitment
- Well presented with a professional manner
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality
- Good organisational and administration skills
